STAYC Comeback on April 8th…Spoiler video release (official)

STAYC, a group that has heated up the K-pop music industry in the second half of 2020, is going to comeback.

On March 24th, the agency Hi-Up Entertainment said, “STAYC (Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon and J) will release their second single “STAYDOM” at 6 p.m. on April 8.”

‘STAYDOM’ is the new album release by STAYC in about 5 months since their debut single album ‘Star To A Young Culture’ released in November last year. Fans are already looking forward to their come back as they will return with more advanced music and a concept that highlights various charms of the members.

STAYC officially announced their comeback by releasing two teaser videos sequentially through their official SNS accounts on the 23rd and 24th.

The first teaser video, which begins with the sentence ‘I hope someone to show up as soon as possible.’  features close-up scenes of STAYC members’ lips. At the same time, voice messages with unknown meanings in Korean and English were heard, maximizing viewers’ curiosity.

In the second teaser video released the next day, the message from the first video was clearly revealed with the text. In particular, in the last scene, the release date and single album’s  name were showed, making fans who had been waiting for the comeback even more excited.

STAYC has left a strong impact with their unique TEEN FRESH filled charm since their debut last year. They has emerged as a representative candidate to lead the 4th generation of K-pop girl groups, showing not only their beautiful appearance but also their great vocal skills.

In particular, STAYC ranked No. 1 in the New Female category on the 2020 Single Album Sales Chart, recording a total of 21,909 single album sales (aggregated period: January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020) with their debut single last year. The title track ‘SO BAD’ also topped the real-time charts of major music websites shortly after its release, and showed its presence not only in Korea but also in the global charts, including 90th on the Billboard K-POP 100 weekly chart and 21st on the U.S. Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart.

The second single ‘STAYDOM’ which will open the new door to STAYC’s 2021 journey, will be released on various music websites at 6 p.m. on April 8.
