STAYC’s Seeun heightened the immersion of the story with her expressive reactions.

Seeun appeared as a “story friend” on the SBS variety program, which aired on the 5th.

Making her first appearance on the show and becoming a “new Kokkomu friend,” Seeun met host Jang Sung-kyu. She shared her genuine enthusiasm for the program, saying, “I really love Kkokkomu. I watched it before coming today, and when I have overseas schedules, I download episodes on my phone and watch them.” After naturally breaking the ice through conversation with Jang Sung-kyu, Seeun soon became fully immersed in the story.

Seeun took part in the episode titled “The First Impression of a Killer.” When asked what she considers important in a first impression, she shared her thoughts, saying, “I think I pay attention to how friendly someone is toward me—their attitude.” She then listened closely to the story of a murderer who committed heinous crimes.

The case Seeun encountered evoked intense anger and sorrow. A 13-year-old child had gone missing and was later found dead, and the man who had seemingly cared for the child with great kindness was revealed to be a suspect who had committed three murders between 1994 and 2005.

As the story unfolded, Seeun reacted with visible shock while looking at the photos presented as evidence. As the unbelievable details continued, she appeared deeply stunned. Actively sharing her thoughts throughout the episode, Seeun heightened the program’s immersion with her vivid reactions, facial expressions, exclamations, and sighs. After hearing the entire story—often referred to as the “Cheongju version of the Yoo Young-chul case”—Seeun became teary-eyed and said emotionally, “It’s hard to understand how so many people had to suffer because of one person’s emotions.”

Meanwhile, STAYC, the group Seeun belongs to, recently released their first full-length Japanese album, STAY ALIVE, continuing their global activities.
