High Up Entertainment’s rookie group UNCHILD, launched six years after STAYC, has revealed all of its members ahead of their official debut.

On the 8th at midnight, UNCHILD released a debut trailer via their official SNS, introducing members Park Ye-eun, Hiki, Tina, Ako, Yvonne, and Na Haeun for the first time. Each member’s name and visuals were unveiled, capturing attention with a unique, funky mood and a spectrum of distinct personalities.

UNCHILD describes their youth as “freaky energy,” boldly rejecting societal expectations. They expressed their determination to break conventional formulas and showcase their raw, unfiltered charm.

In the teaser, lead vocalist Park Ye-eun symbolizes the group’s distinctive direction, sprinting backward on a running track while grabbing a microphone with a cool and sophisticated aura. Leader and main rapper Hiki, performing a dynamic flag dance as a traffic safety guide on a crosswalk, hints at the commanding stage presence she brings as the group’s musical core.

Meanwhile, Chinese member Tina displayed inventive ballet moves aboard a bus, revealing hidden talents beneath her striking visuals. Japanese member Ako, stepping out of a car under the spotlight, exuded quirky reactions, establishing herself as the team’s “viral trigger.” Main vocalist Yvonne meditated in the heart of the city, projecting a mysterious and unexpected aura that matches her distinctive voice. Na Haeun, shaking a bowl of rice with flair in a local eatery, confirmed her status as a fifth-generation dance icon and the group’s lively mood-maker.

The group name, UNCHILD, combines the prefix “UN-,” representing the act of overturning the ordinary, with “CHILD(PERSON),” symbolizing someone who refuses to be confined by any standard. Alongside Na Haeun, the group includes talented members with diverse backgrounds, including Island 2 alumni Park Ye-eun, Hiki, Tina, Ako, and Yvonne, all set to deliver bold, original performances.

Set to officially debut on April 21, UNCHILD is poised to shake up the K-pop scene as a “rule-breaker,” offering fresh and innovative energy to the industry.
