STAYC is set to refresh the season with their signature summer sound.

On July 23 at 6 PM (KST), STAYC—members Sumin, Sieun, ISA, Seeun, Yoon, and J—will release their special single I WANT IT, delivering what promises to be the coolest and most energetic summer anthem of the year.

The album reflects the theme “cool in attitude, hot in sound,” blending laid-back summer vibes with bold energy—STAYC’s trademark duality.

The title track, “I WANT IT,” is an electronic dance-pop song driven by a powerful synth riff and addictive rhythmic flow. The lyrics declare, “Even my imperfections are my weapon,” capturing the group’s message of staying confident and authentic no matter what. The repeated hook, “Good thing’s we ok,” adds an ear-catching festival-like charm that perfectly fits the season.

The album also includes a range of B-sides that showcase different moods of summer.
“BOY” is a mid-tempo urban pop track featuring dreamy synth layers and 808 bass, portraying the excitement and hesitation of a new crush.
“Honestly” adds emotional depth with its clever take on being sidelined in love, using the word “foul play” as a metaphor. Member Sieun participated in the lyric writing, and the groovy bass and retro-style synths evoke a nostalgic city-pop feel.

Adding a special flair to the album, renowned lyricist Kim Eana contributed narration to the highlight medley. Styled like a late-night radio broadcast, her voice deepens the emotional storytelling of each track and enhances the immersive experience.

The music video, which dropped ahead of the album on July 21, delivers a visually vibrant and refreshing take on summer. Featuring bold, festival-like choreography and striking visuals, the video perfectly complements the track’s high-energy spirit.

This release holds even more meaning as it follows the group’s first world tour and coincides with their ongoing second tour.
