STAYC proved their ‘summer queen’ confidence once again—this time on a variety show.

On July 24, Sieun, ISA, and Yoon appeared on the YouTube variety content “Pinggyego”, featured on the channel DdeunDdeun.

The episode was more than just a showcase for their new song. It was a display of seasoned charm, quick wit, and a relaxed energy that only a 5-year-old group can bring. Despite just flying in from Thailand that morning, the STAYC members arrived on set full of energy. They greeted Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho warmly with handshakes and even brought surprise gifts to lift the mood.

The group shared funny stories behind their real names and stage names, and recalled memories from their very first variety appearances. When asked if they felt the weight of being five years into their career, Yoon replied, “I can feel it in the lineup order—we’re closer to the stage now,” while ISA added, “It feels more fun and relaxed now,” showing how much they’ve grown.

The trio also flipped the script by quizzing Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho on trending slang, keeping the hosts laughing throughout.

The highlight of the episode, of course, was their live performance. When they performed “I WANT IT” live right in the tiny room, Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho couldn’t help but get up and dance—showing just how infectious the track really is.

They also opened up about their pre-debut experiences. Yoon shared, “I was the head trainer’s favorite. I auditioned and only heard back a year later from High Up.” ISA revealed, “I prepared for auditions on my own and told myself I’d go to college if I failed twice.” Sieun expressed, “This has been my dream since I was little. I never considered anything else.”
