2025 09 22

STAYC has opened a new chapter in their global career with the release of their first official Chinese-language single.
On the 19th, STAYC (Sumin, Sieun, ISA, Seeun, Yoon, and J) released “Teddy Bear (Chinese Ver.)” on major global music platforms.
This new version reimagines the group’s 2023 signature hit “Teddy Bear” in Chinese, allowing listeners across the Chinese-speaking world to connect even more closely with the song.
Earlier, STAYC unveiled a Japanese version of “Teddy Bear,” naturally blending the group’s unique vibe with local sensibilities. They later performed the Chinese version at concerts in Hong Kong, Taipei, and the “TIMA Macau” stage, drawing an enthusiastic response from local fans.
“Teddy Bear (Chinese Ver.)” layers STAYC’s trademark wit and sincerity over a bubbly pop-punk sound, delivering the message of being a steadfast, comforting presence. With lyrics about a “hero within” expressed in youthful, refreshing language, the track continues to offer comfort and resonance to global listeners.
The playful “teddy bear dance,” intuitive performance, and uplifting message that transcends language barriers have already brought universal appeal. This Chinese version keeps the bright, teen-fresh energy and positive message while adding emotional depth through its new lyrics.
The familiar melody paired with heartfelt words in the local language creates an even more genuine connection with fans. By releasing their first Chinese-language single, STAYC strengthens their bond with global listeners and sets the stage for their next chapter.
Meanwhile, STAYC will accelerate their worldwide expansion following this release and head to North America in October for their upcoming tour.
