STAYC Sweeps the Summer with “I WANT IT”… From Dance Breaks to Variety Humor, They Dominate Their Comeback Week

STAYC made a powerful comeback, dominating both stages and variety shows while solidifying their identity as summer queens.

STAYC (Sumin, Sieun, ISA, Seeun, Yoon, J) appeared on M Countdown, Music Bank, Show! Music Core, and SBS’s SUMMER K-Pop Festival starting July 24, performing the title track “I WANT IT” from their special single.

On stage, STAYC brought the summer vibe of “I WANT IT” to life with a cool attitude and confident energy. Their point choreography, featuring fluid waves and expressive hand gestures, directly reflected the track’s easygoing charm and infectious rhythm.

The members’ fresh vocal tones blended seamlessly with the vibrant instrumental, creating a layered and seasonal listening experience. Their performance showcased the full range of STAYC’s musical strengths, radiating the kind of energy that evokes a true summer festival and earning enthusiastic applause from listeners.

Particularly striking was the dance line centered around their now-iconic “hip point” choreography. The stage styling—highlighting details like scarves, lace, and frilled accents—visually enhanced the performance. Rather than simply executing choreography, STAYC used fashion to reinterpret the mood of the track, setting the standard for “visual performance.”

During their SUMMER K-Pop Festival performance, STAYC wowed viewers with a special dance break. With tight teamwork and polished execution, the group captured summer’s energy in their own distinctive way. The expanded formations and tightly constructed choreography proved that “I WANT IT” isn’t just a typical summer song—it’s a performance that expresses STAYC’s unique identity.

“I WANT IT” is an electronic dance-pop track driven by a bold synth riff and rhythmic progression. It delivers a message of self-empowerment: “Even my imperfections are my weapon.” The bright, catchy chorus is instantly memorable, making the track a staple on summer playlists.

Off stage, STAYC continued to engage fans with their versatility. On July 25, the day after their comeback, Sieun, ISA, and Yoon appeared on the YouTube variety show mini Pinggyego on the DdeunDdeun channel. There, they showcased their comedic timing and natural charm as a 5-year veteran group. Their “tiny room” performance of “I WANT IT” even got Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho up and dancing, earning STAYC the well-deserved nickname of a “variety show group” and reinforcing their presence as summer queens beyond the stage.

With a refreshing summer hit and dynamic charm, STAYC continues to lead in all directions as a performance icon. The group is set to stay active through various music shows and global content, keeping their momentum going strong.
